2. Principles of data processing
HansenApplications processes personal data only to the extent necessary to provide the respective website or application, to handle enquiries, or where another legal basis exists. Particular consideration is given to the principles of lawfulness, purpose limitation and data minimisation.
3. Provision of this website
This website is hosted under our own domain hansenapplications.com by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, California 94105, USA. When you access the website, Netlify processes technically necessary connection and log data. This may include, in particular, the IP address, date and time of access, the page or file requested, the previously visited page, browser type and version, operating system and device information.
The data is processed to deliver the website and ensure stability and security. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in providing a reliable and secure website. Data is processed only for as long as necessary for these purposes or to comply with legal obligations.
Netlify processes data on the basis of a data processing agreement incorporated into its contractual terms. Processing may take place in the USA. Transfers are primarily based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If this does not apply, particularly if it is declared invalid or Netlify does not renew its certification, the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses apply. Further information is available in Netlify’s privacy policy and its Data Processing Agreement.
Netlify Web Analytics, Netlify Forms, Netlify Functions, Edge Functions and Netlify Identity are not used. HansenApplications does not use analytics, tracking or marketing services on the website, or cookies for advertising or analytics purposes. If this changes, this privacy policy will be updated accordingly before such services are used.
4. Contacting us
If you contact HansenApplications by email, the information you voluntarily provide is processed to handle your enquiry. This may include, in particular, your name, email address, subject, message content, attachments and technical data associated with email communication.
When you send an email, the information is transmitted via your chosen email provider to the WEB.DE mailbox of HansenApplications.
Depending on the content of the enquiry, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the communication serves to take steps prior to entering into a contract or to perform a contract, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries. The legitimate interest lies in appropriately handling and documenting the enquiry.
Providing this information is neither a statutory nor a contractual requirement. However, without a reachable email address and the information necessary to handle the enquiry, it may not be possible to respond. No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
5. Email service provider
HansenApplications uses a WEB.DE mailbox to receive and send emails. This service is provided by 1&1 Mail & Media GmbH, Karlsruhe branch, Brauerstraße 48, 76135 Karlsruhe, Germany. When transmitting and storing emails, the provider processes, in particular, sender and recipient addresses, message content, attachments, and technical connection and log data.
Further information about processing by WEB.DE is available in WEB.DE’s privacy policy. In addition, your email provider processes the message in accordance with its own privacy policy.
6. Google Play
Applications from HansenApplications may be offered through the Google Play Store. When you visit the Google Play Store or download, purchase or install an app, Google processes data as part of the services it provides and in accordance with the privacy policies applicable there.
This processing is separate from data processing within HansenApplications apps. Each app has its own privacy information.
7. Recipients
Recipients of contact data may include the owner of HansenApplications handling the enquiry, the email service provider 1&1 Mail & Media GmbH and the email provider chosen by the sender. Other recipients are considered only where necessary to fulfil the respective purpose, where a legal obligation exists or where another legal basis applies.
8. Retention periods
Data from general enquiries is deleted once the enquiry has been fully handled and further retention is no longer necessary. The need for retention is reviewed regularly. General correspondence is normally deleted no later than six months after the enquiry has been resolved.
Data is retained for longer if the communication is needed to initiate or perform a contract, to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, or to comply with statutory commercial or tax retention requirements. In these cases, data is deleted after the relevant statutory period expires. The email provider’s technically necessary storage and backup periods may also apply.
9. Rights of data subjects
- access to the personal data processed, under Article 15 GDPR,
- rectification of inaccurate data or completion of incomplete data, under Article 16 GDPR,
- erasure under Article 17 GDPR, provided there are no overriding grounds for continued processing,
- restriction of processing under Article 18 GDPR,
- data portability under Article 20 GDPR, where the statutory conditions are met, and
- objection under Article 21 GDPR to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, on grounds relating to your particular situation.
Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. To exercise your rights, simply send a message to HansenApplications@web.de.
